Location

United Arab Emirates (UAE), federation of seven independent states located in the southeastern corner of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by the Persian Gulf to the north, Saudi Arabia to the south and west, and Oman and the Gulf of Oman to the east. Its seven member states are Abu Dhabi (Abu Zaby), ´Ajman, Dubay, Al Fujayrah, Ra´s al Khaymah, Ash Shariqah, and Umm al Qaywayn. Capital City is Abu Dhabi and is located north west of Australia and is located approximately 7000 km from Australia's north west corner.


You cannot fly direct from Port Hedland to the UAE so yuo have to fly to Perth before hand and fly out to the UAE first. Flights to perth start at $189 AUD for economic class and for premium class the prices range from $285 to $699 AUD. Flight from Perth to UAE start at AUD 1295.63 for 1 passenger(s) for economy class and 7242.63 AUD for first class to Abu Dhabi.

Bus or taxi is an effective way of travelling through or around cities although a plane is recommended when getting to the UAE from overseas or going from city to city throughout the country.


The Al Hajar mountains are a major tourist attraction in the UAE. The Al Hajar mountains are located in north eastern Oman and are the highest mountain range in the Eastern Arabian Peninsula they separate the low coastal plain of Oman from the high desert plateau. The Al Hajar lies 50 to 100 km inland. The mountains extend for 500km and the central part of the mountain range is 2980m (9843ft) high and is the highest and wildest terrain in the country.


Gwadar Bay is located in the Gulf of Oman on the maritime border of Pakistan and Iran. It is 32km (20 miles) long and 16km long (10miles) wide. The Dasht River flows into it from the north east and the Dashtiari River from the north west.


The Jebel Hafeet is primarily a mountain in the UAE on the outskirts of Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The mountain rise 1249m and offers an awesome view over the city. There is a cave and this cave covers the whole inside of the mountain.


Jabal Yibir is a 1,527 m (5,010 ft) tall mountain in the United Arab Emirates, and is the country's highest named point. The highest point in the UAE is an unnamed knoll of about 1,910 m just across the border from Jabal Bil Ays in Oman.

Bu Tinah is a tiny archipelago amid extensive coral formations and seagrass beds some 25 km south of Zirku and 35 north of Marawah in the United Arab Emirates. Bu Tinah is actually a cluster of islands and shoals, joined or almost so at low water, with nowhere greater than two or three metres above sea level. The main island has a sheltered lagoon opening to the south with the low energy environment permitting stands of mature mangrove to flourish.Even birds like Socotra Cormorant are found here.
